Review: Nars X Chirstopher Kane Collection

I've been lusting over the long awaited Nars X Christopher Kane collection for quite a while, having first seen preview pictures of the collection on Instagram a few months ago. The collection is exclusive to Selfridges and has been very well received. Christopher Kane is a British designer based in London and is famous for his use of neon as neutrals which is the prominent feature in his collaboration with Nars.

The Summer 2015 'NEONEUTRAL' collection is Kane's first for Nars - As the name indicates, the collection features and balances contrasting shades of neon and nude. Nars state; 'Christopher Kane brings his signature shock to the collection of unexpected shades inspired by the nature of neon. Brights so boldly wearable they behave like new neutrals.'

NARS has collaborated with the designer on his shows since 2012, so maybe this designer collaboration didn't really come as a shock.

The range consists of 10 pieces which includes eyeshadows, blushes, illuminating Multiples and lip glosses to help you get that Christopher Kane look. I tried on a few items in store and I couldn't resist the hot pink blush in 'Starscape' and the 'Mezmer' lipgloss which is a gorgeous coral lipgloss.
I love the Nars Christopher Kane packaging, the pink lettering has a strong impact against the black and the finished look is really stunning.
The Starscape blush looked a little scary in the pan for me, as it is very much a hot neon pink, but on the skin it gives a beautiful natural blush effect which you can layer if you want a more striking look. The Mezmer lipgloss is a very lovely coral pink which gives a very pretty neutral lip with a hint of neon and is perfect for everyday. The make up artist in store layered it over my Cherry Red lipstick and it just made it pop and gave it more longevity. I was definitely sold on Mezmer especially as it is quite different to the lip glosses I already own.

Have you tried the Nars X Christopher Kane collection yet?
What are your favourite pieces?
